Iglhaut Allrad: Over 40 years of off-road expertise

For over 40 years, the name Iglhaut Allrad has stood for pioneering spirit, innovation and the highest quality in the field of all-wheel drive technology for commercial vehicles.

What began in 1983 with a unique request is today an incomparable success story. Back then, an innkeeper from the Allgäu region asked if Iglhaut could convert his Mercedes van to four-wheel drive in order to transport guests safely to his remote hotel in the mountains. The result was the world's first four-wheel drive conversion for a Mercedes van - a milestone in the company's history.

Technological leadership in the van sector
From this first conversion, Iglhaut Allrad has developed into one of the most important suppliers in the four-wheel drive sector. With a development lead that is still unsurpassed today, the company has secured itself a pioneering position in the conversion of commercial vehicles into off-road vehicles with high off-road capabilities. This is no simple lifestyle solution - these are real commercial vehicles that are used in the most extreme conditions worldwide.

Whether in tough everyday working conditions, on expeditions to remote areas or as rescue vehicles for mountain rescue services: Iglhaut Allrad stands for robust, reliable and durable technology. From permanent all-wheel drive and 100% locking differentials to large off-road tires - Iglhaut vehicles are designed for maximum off-road performance.

The strength of the Iglhaut all-wheel drive system
The Iglhaut all-wheel drive system has been specially developed for difficult terrain. It is based on patented, tested parts and original components from the vehicle manufacturer. This ensures full serviceability at every Mercedes-Benz partner. In particular, the combination of permanent all-wheel drive, off-road reduction and up to three differential locks makes Iglhaut vehicles true off-road vehicles with everyday comfort.

In addition to Mercedes-Benz models such as the Sprinter and Vito, Iglhaut also upgrades the MAN TGE and Volkswagen Crafter. The Mercedes Sprinter in particular is a bestseller among customers and can be upgraded in various configurations to meet individual requirements.

Michael Iglhaut: "Our all-wheel drive technology is not developed for lifestyle purposes, but for tough off-road use - for more than 40 years!"
