Chassis/cab

MAN 10.224 LAEC (LE2000), 4×4, 6 cylinder Euro 2 engine with 6.9 liter displacement, 220 hp, gross vehicle weight 10.8 tons, wheelbase 4050 mm, cruise control, air conditioning, reversing video system, rear lift for 2 wheels and 4 sand trays. Two large LED auxiliary headlights provide daylight illumination in front of the vehicle.

Various storage compartments and a large storage compartment in the driver's cab with access to the body.

Body

The body is made of GRP full sandwich. The roof and walls are 60 mm thick. The KCT real glass windows with mosquito net and blinds are very sturdy. Access to the roof is via a large hatch above the bed. The seating area has 4 seats with elegant Alcantara leather upholstery. An additional skylight provides plenty of light in the kitchen and living area. The doors, flaps and drawers are painted with high-quality, robust automotive paint and are therefore very easy to clean, and the walls are washable. The cabin has a passageway to the driver's cab. The cab is easily accessed via an electrically extendable staircase. A large mirror in the entrance area and one in the bedroom provide a greater sense of space. The large rear garage with cable winch and access ramp offers space for a quad bike, motorcycle or bicycles plus equipment boxes.

Self-sufficiency and comfort

The vehicle has two diesel tanks with a capacity of 400 and 300 liters. The tanks are switched via a remote control in the driver's cab. This means that an empty tank can be switched while driving before the vehicle comes to a standstill and needs to be vented. The range on the road is up to 3800 km, off-road approx. 1500 to 2500 km depending on the ground conditions.

The solar system is designed to be fail-safe and redundant. The system consists of two systems (300 Wp and 225 Wp), which charge the 400 Ah AGM surface-mounted batteries via solar controllers of the same type.

While driving or idling, two 45 A chargers connected in parallel charge the 12 V body batteries with up to 90 A in total. This means that the batteries are charged quickly even when there is no sunlight.

The fresh water steel tank has a capacity of 520 liters. Depending on the water quality, the three-stage filter system from WM Aquatec can be connected upstream during filling. The water consumption can be read to the liter.

Comfort is also ensured by the two 200 x 80 cm beds in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle with multi-adjustable slatted frames. A third mattress between the two beds connects the beds to form a sunbathing area.

Body mounting

The body is mounted on a hot-dip galvanized subframe with rubber bearings at the rear and on a pendulum bearing at the front.

Body description

Self-supporting GRP full sandwich body with 60 mm thick walls and roof.

The outer layers are 2 mm thick on the inside and 3 mm thick on the outside with fabric reinforcement. The wet cell consists of laminated GRP panels.

In the rear (lowered) is a rear garage for a quad bike or motorcycle plus storage space. There is a ramp for loading/unloading the motorcycle and a built-in electric winch.

The rear garage is accessible from both sides.
