Ford Ranger with parallel lifting roof from Impala Reisemobile

Impala Reisemobile is a small and fine workshop in Eastern Switzerland for individual interior fittings for all kinds of touring vehicles. "Our know-how for lifting roofs, extensions, power supply, solar systems, heating solutions, water treatment & supply, kitchen & cool boxes, showers & toilets is based on our many years of travel experience with various vehicles," explains Remo Fronebner, founder of Impala Reisemobile.

We designed the parallel lifting roof with fixed walls for an old Land Rover Defender, developed it to series production readiness and extended the functional principle to pickup cabins. After all, every centimeter of height counts when it comes to driving dynamics.

The idea behind this pickup cab with parallel lifting roof is the concept of an off-roader with maximum off-road capability, minimum overall height and, thanks to its low center of gravity, can be driven safely on any terrain.

SEATING AREA & STORAGE SPACE

There is a seating area slightly raised in the rear area. The large dining table invites you to spend cozy hours. The two large bench seats offer plenty of storage space for comforters, pillows or other items. The Porta Potti is (hidden) between the dining area bench and the sideboard. The toilet unit is already open in the picture on the left. This piece of furniture also serves as a step to get into bed in the evening.

COOKING AREA & STORAGE SPACE

The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner gas hob, a sink with hot and cold water connection, a 76 liter refrigerator incl. freezer compartment, 3 drawers and sufficient storage space for food and crockery. There is a sideboard opposite. Your personal belongings can be conveniently stored there. The shelf also serves as an extension, e.g. when cooking.

SLEEPING AREA

The bed consists of two shelves including mattress, which can be unhooked from the guides in the headliner. The bed area (incl. mattresses) can therefore be set up in the evening and stowed away again during the day in just a few simple steps. Sitting comfortably in bed is also very easy.

SHOWER

We offer the option of a shower device in the cabin. The water connection including quick-release coupling is already available. The shower facility is provided in the recessed step entrance.

TECHNOLOGY

The technical room is located in the rear area - accessible from the outside. The table, chairs etc. are also supplied there. The 10 liter water boiler and the room air heater are supplied by the built-in Truma combination heater. The compartment for the gas cylinder(s) is installed in a box accessible from the outside - on the driver's side. Two 2.8 kg gas cylinders can be stowed away.
