Jeep Heep Heep 2025 - Crans-Montana shakes
When an entire mountain village in Valais pulsates to the beat of engine noise, it's "Jeep Heep Heep"again. The 27th edition once again transformed Crans-Montana into a Jeep museum on wheels - and a huge playground for adventurous Jeep fans. Around 500 vehicles came from half of Europe. From classic Willys to the latest Jeep Wrangler - but the focus here was not on the metal, but on the passion.
The traditional "Jeeping" starts on Saturday morning: a 25-kilometer tour through the ski resort and the surrounding forests. In between, there are special stages that have it all - from a blind slalom over steep gravel pits to passages where you're more worried about your own bodywork than the classification. Those who line up here are not racing against others. You are racing against yourself.
And, of course, even the little ones are infected with the Jeep virus. On the RC course, remote-controlled model Jeeps clambered over mini mud pits and ramps. Three guesses as to who ended up holding the remote control with shining eyes - dad, of course.
On Sunday morning, the large convoy rolls through Crans-Montana. A spectacle that celebrates diversity: no two Jeeps are the same, every conversion is a statement.
But the moment of truth is yet to come. In the canyon. Where the descent is steep on Saturday, on Sunday the brave fight their way up centimeter by centimeter. Tires scrape the rock, engines rage, riders grope their way up. It's precision, courage - and a sublime feeling. No matter how far you get, the main thing is that you've tried. That alone counts. And the spectators applaud you for it.
The fairground smells of raclette, grilled sausages and a perfect mixture of rubber and petrol. Music is blaring and screws, stories and ideas are shared between the jeeps. There are no strangers here, only like-minded people. The liberation vehicle of 1941 has become a vehicle of freedom that has shaped generations - from the post-war CJ to the modern Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. Jeep is an attitude. A drivable promise: to choose the difficult path because it smells of adventure. That's exactly what Jeep Heep Heep is: not an event, but a tribal fire. A weekend that shows that Jeep is more than just a brand - a living sense of freedom on four wheels.
