The family-run company from Bavaria has been developing and producing high-quality accessories for Land Rover Defenders and, more recently, for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class since 2015.
However, the company's beginnings date back to the early 1990s, when Werner Müller developed and produced his own parts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The resulting company continues to do so today and is an integral part of the motorcycle scene.
But with the arrival of the next generation came new ideas and so son Fabian took over the management of the company and established a new division for offroad vehicles: the Offroad Monkeys. The main aim of the Offroad Monkeys is to permanently fight rust and corrosion.
With high-quality parts milled from solid aluminum, which have a special top surface coating to withstand even the strongest environmental influences.
The best-selling and now well-known product in the Landy scene is probably the door hinges. Anyone who drives a Landy knows that this is a major weak point. The original cast parts quickly rust and become stiff. At best, the door only makes bad noises; at worst, it can no longer be closed properly, allowing moisture to penetrate. Then there are the rust streaks that make their way along the bodywork. It's not very attractive and a lot of work to keep replacing these hinges.
But this is no longer necessary with the parts from Offroad Monkeys.
Well thought-out from A-Z, they deliver a product with many gimmicks. For example, a thick spiral groove is milled into the stainless steel bolt, in which the grease can be optimally distributed. Grease nipples are fitted for lubrication, which can also be replaced with retractable grub screws if required. To prevent contact corrosion, small spacers are included, which are inserted between the stainless steel screws (optionally available) and the aluminum hinges. The hinges are supplied with new seals to protect the paintwork and the appropriate mirror fastening screws.
The parts are manufactured 100% in Germany and the preservation of jobs and cooperation with regional partners is very important to owner Fabian Müller and his wife Nicole. The two are proud that many of the employees have been working here for several decades and that many family members are involved. They help each other and have been able to overcome many smaller and larger crises in the past.
Direct communication with customers is also important to the young team. They want to know what moves people, what they need and what can be done even better. As a result, many other products have been developed for the Landy, and more recently also for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
This is because customers who also wanted high-quality parts for the G-Class kept coming to trade fairs and events. No sooner said than done, because due to the wide range of possibilities, it is always a welcome challenge for Fabian Müller to develop new parts and then produce them in-house. State-of-the-art design programs, a 3D printer, laser, CNC machines and measuring systems make this possible.
A true Eldorado (not only) for technology enthusiasts, who are welcome to visit the company and the team at any time.
