• Ideal for the construction of a 4.5 to 5.5 m long camper van - shorter possible with adaptation of the chassis.

For sale is a basic vehicle with experience and patina. It is not a "high-gloss vehicle" that has only been shown at exhibitions, but a robust vehicle that can be repaired anywhere in the world. The living box shown in the picture will continue to be used and will not be sold.

The truck is being sold in Switzerland. Export to other countries must be taken over and organized by the buyer.

The truck has been in service with the Dutch fire department since 1976. In 2010, it was converted into a camper van by the first owner with the help of professionals. The driver's cab was also repainted, insulated and fitted with felt. The first owners traveled Europe and the USA for several years (without off-road use). In 2021, it was imported to Switzerland and registered here. We then upgraded it and set it up so that we could live completely self-sufficiently - i.e. without a connection to shore power.

Since 2022, we have been on several 3-month trips with the motorhome and have also made further optimizations to the base vehicle. Among other things:

• 5 new tires 13R22.5
• All brakes replaced, some with brake cylinders
• Engine completely removed and overhauled with new pistons and new crankshaft
• The injection system was overhauled and optimized, increasing the power to approx. 190 hp and 650 Nm.
• The exhaust system was renewed and optimized
• the entire electronics system was checked, repaired and adjusted several times
• A tire pressure regulation system was installed
• the driver's cab was repainted

The basic vehicle has therefore been extensively renovated and is ready to go on long trips around the world with a newly built cabin. It is also in perfect condition and can be repaired anywhere in the world. In addition, the engine has been completely overhauled and has only run about 15,000 km since then. It has therefore only just been "run in". The total mileage is only 130,000 km.

Unfortunately, our travel plans have changed somewhat and we're not getting any younger. That's why we would like to have the tried and tested living cabin put on a new base vehicle - probably with automatic transmission.
