The vehicle was used exclusively for transport to Switzerland, demonstration and registration appointments, trips between the participating conversion and retrofit shops, and for a single private test drive. During this time, it became clear that the cross-bed layout isn’t ideal for my wife and me personally. That’s why we’re switching within the CS Reisemobile family to the sister model, the CS Duo Independent, with longitudinal cabin beds.

You are therefore not purchasing a typical used motorhome, but rather a practically new vehicle with approximately 940 km on the odometer, which is available immediately without any waiting periods, import formalities, or additional customization work.

Right from the configuration phase, in collaboration with CS-Reisemobile and the exclusive Swiss importer TARTARUGA AG, great importance was placed on ensuring the vehicle remained within the 3.5-t class despite its extensive equipment. This goal required a careful selection of equipment and deliberate weight compromises—a feature rarely found in fully equipped, off-road-capable motorhomes in this class.

Upon delivery, the vehicle weighed 3,280 kg (with all retrofits installed, a full diesel tank, and without the driver). This leaves a practical payload reserve within the 3.5-metric-ton weight limit.

Those who travel primarily in Europe can further increase the available payload if needed by temporarily removing equipment that isn’t constantly required (e.g., spare tire, trailer hitch, Maxtrax recovery boards, ski rack, and other attachments).

Technically, the vehicle is already designed for a gross vehicle weight of 4,100 kg and can be re-rated to this weight if necessary with minimal administrative effort. This ensures a high degree of flexibility for future requirements as well.
