TIPI4x4 BoX3: Pickup Cab Weighing 140 Kilograms
The BoX3 is a living cabin for pickup trucks manufactured by the French company TIPI4x4 in Canet-en-Roussillon.
It weighs less than two adults: 140 kilograms as a shell, 190 kilograms fully equipped. Inside, it features a sink, a 50- or 80-liter water tank, a skylight, and a 140 × 190 cm mattress. The interior measures 1.37 meters. It fits on pickup trucks with extended and double cabs. A Webasto heater, 180-watt solar panel, and dry toilet are available as options.

RADICA Stargate: Pop-up Roof Cab Without Canvas
The Stargate is a pickup truck cab with a pop-up roof from the U.S. manufacturer RADICA, based in Denver, Colorado.
Not a single meter of canvas. The frame and body are made of aluminum, and the roof is a 3.2-centimeter-thick honeycomb panel. Electric lift cylinders raise it at the push of a button. Depending on the pickup, this provides up to 2.13 meters of headroom and up to five sleeping spots. It is built to order.

The Narwhal Topper is a carbon fiber pickup hardtop manufactured by Narwhal Truck Toppers in Colorado, USA.
The shell is a carbon-fiber monocoque and weighs between 45 and 73 kilograms, depending on the model. According to the manufacturer, the roof can carry 272 kilograms while driving and 499 kilograms when parked—many times its own weight. The side panels open as gull-wing doors, the rear section is removable, and a roof hatch is available as an option. L-Track rails run along the interior and exterior.

Land Roamer Pioneer: Pickup Cab from the Garage Project
The Pioneer is a permanently mounted living cabin with a pop-up roof for pickup trucks, manufactured by Land Roamer in Barneveld, the Netherlands.
Two people are behind it: architectural draftsman Jerry Zomer and Anniek de Jager, a doctoral candidate in medicine. They spent nearly five years testing it, most recently 13 months in South America, in temperatures ranging from −10 to 40 degrees. The cabin fits on the Hilux, Land Cruiser 79, and Ranger. And it fits into a shipping container if the journey involves crossing the ocean. On board: a 90-liter compressor refrigerator, 93 liters of water, a 150 Ah lithium battery, and a 580-watt solar panel.

Motsmann Outranger: Off-Road Teardrop with Gravity-Fed Water
The Outranger is an off-road travel trailer from the U.S. manufacturer Motsmann Engineering in Oregon.
The cabin is entirely molded from fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) and sits on a bolted chassis made of 3-millimeter galvanized steel. It features independent Timbren suspension and rides on 30-inch tires. According to Expedition Portal, the ground clearance is 48 centimeters. Water flows without a pump or electricity—solely by gravity. No winterization is required.

RockPot: A casserole dish that cooks with a hot stone
The RockPot is an insulated slow cooker that requires no electricity or gas, manufactured by the U.S. company RockPot in Utah.
You heat the RockTablet—a stone made from a proprietary mineral blend—for 30 minutes on a stove or over a fire. Then you place it in the double-walled stainless steel pot, and the food continues to cook for up to eight hours. Put the stone in, put the lid on, and walk away. The stone is handcrafted in Utah using a patented process.

Rollercam Sandstake: Tent Pegs for Sand at a 45-Degree Angle
The Sandstake is a tent and tarp stake for use in sand, manufactured by the U.S. company Rollercam.
It relies not on length, but on physics. The 6061-T6 aluminum stake is driven into the sand at a 45-degree angle, while the stainless steel guy line runs at a right angle to it. According to the manufacturer, this design causes the load to push the stake deeper into the sand rather than pulling it out. The set includes: two stakes, two guy lines, and a bag.
