Description
We are selling our Zirbenbox (completion January 2022) on a SCANIA V8 truck (P144C 530 Series 4, heavy-duty version, 800 l diesel tank) with CrewCab and permanent 6x6 all-wheel drive.
This vehicle is an exceptionally resilient expedition vehicle. Equipped with practical redundant systems and plenty of storage space, the vehicle offers large reserves. The interior of the Zirbenbox is high-quality, comfortable and optimized for quality of life.
The vehicle was on the road from February 2022 to May 2023, mainly in the Baltic States and Scandinavia, and more than passed the practical test in everyday travel, especially in cold regions. The vehicle with the 6-speed Allison automatic transmission now has 51,000 km on the clock.
The only previous owner of the SCANIA was RUAG in Switzerland. The vehicle served as a fire department vehicle at the Gotthard South Portal and was well maintained over the years. The truck was acquired in 2020 with 16,000 km and was upgraded in 2021 and early 2022 by Schatzmeister together with SCANIA Austria.
In the summer of 2022, Marquart shock absorbers were retrofitted at the front and the rear leaf springs were optimized. Due to engine damage, the vehicle received a completely new SCANIA original engine in February 2023 (at 40,000 km), which was installed by SCANIA Finland. The chassis was completely repainted and sealed in Germany in 2024. The cab has 3 new air-sprung Grammer seats; a fourth seat can be retrofitted. In the rear area of the CrewCab are the third seat, a generous shelving solution and a 65 l freezer. Everything is easily and practically (!) accessible via the passageway of the living cabin.
The Zirbenbox is 6 m long and 2.55 m wide - and offers Tiny House living comfort. A special feature of the living cabin is a separate office corner with an additional window - here you can work both sitting and standing. The large fireplace with glass front - manufactured in Appenzell (Switzerland) - offers incredible coziness. Thanks to the long cabin, it was possible to create a spacious shower and an extra apothecary cupboard in the kitchen. Proven treasurer functionality with large drop-down bed (200 x 155 cm) with horsehair mattress from Moosbuerger, pop-up roof, very spacious seating area, two terrace modules (1.8 m x 4 m). Cooking is done with gas (2 x 11 kg gas bottles with heated valve). Further specifications are: 450 l fresh water, 140 l heated gray water tank, separate toilet, 2 x 200 Ah 24V lithium-ion batteries, 1840 watt solar, all electronics from Mastervolt, structured network cabling (CAT6), 4G industrial internet router, many USB A/B ports , high-quality water filter solution from Famous Water, two redundant diesel heaters for the living cabin, engine parking heater and air parking heater in the CrewCab, Honda generator 22i for charging the battery in winter, roof rack with space for e.g. 8 Taf-Cases, e.g. 8 Taf-Cases, two air heaters in the CrewCab.e.g. 8 Taf cases, removable motorcycle lift.
