Two years. Central Asia, high mountains, gravel roads, endless steppe. This vehicle has been through it all—and is ready to do it all over again.

This Defender 130 is truly one of a kind: a uniquely extended chassis with about one meter of additional living space compared to the standard 110. Yet it still retains the Defender’s sleek, original look—no bulky high-roof conversion, but a seamlessly integrated aluminum pop-up roof built directly into the roof. The result: maximum functionality with authentic Defender character. And inside, it has everything you need for a self-sufficient expedition—water, a gas stove, a cooler, a bed, cabinets, etc....

The 300Tdi was thoroughly overhauled before the trip (cylinder head, original Garrett turbocharger, timing belt) and runs reliably. The Landy is ready to drive and travel, with a new TÜV inspection valid through 12/2027.

Transparency: Known issues

Typical Defender—all manageable for an experienced driver:

Slight coolant loss during longer trips (source not yet definitively identified; does not affect normal driving)

Electric headlight leveling system defective—manually adjustable

The underbody is completely sealed; hardly any rust on the ladder frame. Some surface rust after the trip—easy to fix with minimal effort.

This is not a distress sale. We’re parting ways because life is taking us in a different direction right now—not because the car has ever let us down. It deserves an owner who will pick up where we left off.
