History
Originally in service with the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten), fully documented by the original vehicle file from the military registry. After being decommissioned, the vehicle was imported to Germany and registered there with an H license plate. The vehicle’s history has been fully traceable since 2009 through invoices and inspection reports:
2009: Imported to Germany; passed a full TÜV inspection (§21 StVZO/§13 EG-FGV) with no apparent defects. Additionally, an official appraisal for classic cars was prepared in accordance with §23 StVZO—the basis for the H-registration. All inspected components (body, frame, engine, brake system, steering, tires, electrical system, interior) were confirmed as original or period-correct.
2010: Maintenance (transmission/engine oil), new propeller shaft, optimized axle boots.
2011: Complete engine overhaul by a specialist shop following piston damage—6 cylinders honed, new oversized pistons, crankshaft inspected and polished, new main and connecting rod bearings, complete gasket set, valves reground, cylinder head converted for unleaded fuel. Followed by test run and test drive; passed the DEKRA general inspection.
2013: Passed the DEKRA general inspection with minor defects.
2015: Completely repainted in authentic camouflage colors (dark green/light green/black/brown) by a specialist shop. Alternator overhauled.
2016: New starter battery.
2020: Passed the DEKRA general inspection with minor defects; odometer reading 62,971 km.
Condition
The vehicle is fully roadworthy and operational. Typical of this model series: enormous ground clearance, portal axles like those on the Unimog, and a very robust ladder-frame construction—ideal for off-road use, but also of interest as a rare collector’s item in its original condition. Its originality is officially confirmed by the official classic car appraisal report in accordance with §23 StVZO.
According to the latest DEKRA report (2020), known minor defects include: differential and transmission slightly contaminated with oil, slight surface rust on the underbody, slightly uneven braking performance, and incipient play in the front steering linkage. All items were classified as “minor defects” with no impact on road safety.
